About IQAC

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL

As per UGC guidelines, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is to be established in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs). UGC has established National assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to monitor the standards of HEIs under section 12(ccc) of its act I in Sept 1994. Assessment is a performance evaluation of institute’s various criteria and accreditation refers to the certification given by NAAC.

NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an IQAC as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become an important part of the Institution’s system and work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement.

IQAC was established on 17th January 2017 at Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCCET) to encourage quality enhancement and sustenance in all the aspects of institute functioning. IQAC focus towards the quality measurement in teaching, learning, evaluation, research, extension and consultancy and provide a catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution by proper planning, guidance and monitoring.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a mechanism to build and ensure a quality culture at the institutional level to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders. The IQAC is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the college in order to channelize and systematize the efforts and measures towards academic excellence.
